New Delhi, Jan 5: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah is expected to deliver his maiden speech in Rajya Sabha on Friday. He is likely to speak on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) bill, which has been fiercely criticised by the Congress president Rahul Gandhi during last month’s Gujarat Assembly elections. “Shah would deliver his speech on the proposed legislation, which sought to replace an ordinance issued in September to give effect to certain decisions of the GST Council,” a BJP leader had informed news agency PTI.
The Ranchi Special CBI court is expected to pronounce the quantum of sentence for Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and 15 others in connection with the fodder scam. The CBI judge also said that he would decide on Friday if the sentencing would be given through a video conferencing or in the court. To which, the RJD chief assured the court that no slogans would be raised in the court by his supporters.
