BAY CITY, Texas (AP) — Police believe the shooting death of a couple in their home in a Texas coastal county southwest of Houston is a murder-suicide case.

Authorities in Bay City say the son of 44-year-old Bryan Hogg and 42-year-old Sandra Hogg told them he found his parents dead Friday.

Sandra Hogg was a counselor for 12 years in the Bay City school district where the couple's son is a high school freshman.

Bay City is about 75 miles (120.7 kilometers) southwest of Houston in Matagorda County.
