A MARRIED PE teacher who had sex with a student half her age could escape a jail term.

Corine Audiat, 33, seduced the 16-year-old after sending him sexually-charged texts, according to cops.

The messages started around 15 months after she got married and continued for several months until they had sex, investigators said.

She pleaded no contest to having intercourse with a minor and oral copulation of a person under 18 in Fremont, California.

    But the judge may allow her to serve the sentence electronically monitored outside of prison, prosecutors said.

    The teen’s lawyer said the boy was ashamed his first sexual encounter was with a teacher he trusted.

    Audiat is due to be sentenced on February 9 and will have to register as a sex offender.

    She was arrested in November 2016 after police got “a report of an alleged sexual misconduct” involving her and a “juvenile male".

    Audiat, who got married in October 2014, is said to have started speaking with the student at the start of 2016.

    Another teacher was arrested last month after her husband walked in on her allegedly having an affair with a pupil.

    Andrea Nicole Barber, 29, was apprehended at her home in Cottage Grove, Oregon, just days after she was caught in bed with the 15-year-old boy, authorities said.

    Shortly after the pair were busted on Friday, the teen’s dad received an anonymous email asking if he knew his son and the Logan Christian Academy teacher were in a relationship, a police report read.

    Photos of the teacher and boy were included in the message.
