Not necessarily! It's entirely possible that Kate could follow her brother Randall (Sterling K. Brown) down the path to adoption.

"We've said from the beginning that [the miscarriage] is definitely not the final chapter, in terms of the way that their family will grow," executive produce Elizabeth Berger said when we asked her about going that route. "So, we're still determining what the specifics are of how it's going to expand, but we definitely see these two expanding their brood in some way, at some point."

We will take Kate and Toby offspring however we can get it!
