Solution to all global problems lies in Indian thought and perception

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that problems all around the globe can be solved through Indian thought and perception. It is a matter of pride that even today non-resident Indians have kept life values and culture of India alive abroad.

Chouhan was addressing non-resident Indians who are here from 23 countries, after inaugurating the Friends of MP Conclave here at Indore. Commerce and Industry Minister Rajendra Shukla, Indore Municipal Corporation Mayor Smt. Malini Lakshmansingh Gaud, Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

CM Chouhan said that a cell will be constituted in the state for the redressal of NRI problems. Members of Friends of MP will be honoured with Madhya Pradesh Ratna for outstanding work in foreign countries.

Chouhan told the NRIs to stay connected with Madhya Pradesh and we will give them all our love and affection. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working constantly for the welfare of all sections of society. Efforts are on to build new Madhya Pradesh along with his resolve to build a new India by year 2022.

Today Madhya Pradesh is fast developing state where in the last 12 years several remarkable works have been undertaken for development of each area.

There is a noticeable rise in the development rate of the state. Production has been on the rise in every field of agriculture apart from rise in vegetable and fruit production. Food processing is being encouraged in state.

Chouhan told the guests at the conclave that Madhya Pradesh is now a power surplus state and is now providing power to other states. A 750 MW solar power plant is coming up in Rewa. Efforts are being made to use solar energy in cooking. After having linked Kshipra with Narmada, state is moving fast in the direction of supplying water in areas facing short supply of water.

Irrigation area in state has increased from 7.50 lakh to 40 lakh hectare. Efforts are also being made constantly to change the face of cities of the state. In the next 2-3 years, Rs 83 thousand crores will be spent on the development of cities.

State is moving ahead in all areas including road, water, employment etc. There has been constant expansion in amenities for making farming a beneficial profession. Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana has been launched to enable farmers to fetch fair price for crops besides making loan available to them at zero percent interest.
