FX Reveals Premiere Date and Crazy New Title for Atlanta Season 2

Atlanta is finally back, and it's gonna be different. Seriously. It has a new title.

Atlanta Robbin' Season will premiere Thursday, March 1 at 10/9c, FX announced at the Television Critics Association winter press tour Friday.

Atlanta Season 1 premiered in 2016, but the show didn't air in 2017 as creator and star Donald Glover worked on Season 2 and other projects like the Han Solo movie. In the time it was off, its stature grew, as Glover won an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Critics' Choice Award for his acting and another Emmy for his directing. The show also won a Golden Globe for Best Comedy Series.

Glover stars as Earn Marks, a financially struggling manager trying to get his cousin Alfred "Paper Boi" Marks' (Brian Tyree Henry) rap career to the next level. Lakeith Stanfield and Zazie Beetz co-star as Alfred's right-hand man and the mother of Earn's daughter, respectively.

The network also set a premiere date for the first season of new series Trust. The Donald Sutherland-starring drama series arrives Sunday, March 25 at 10/9c. The series is based on the true story of the Gettys, "one of America's wealthiest and unhappiest families," per FX's show description. Told over multiple years, the show is "equal parts family history, dynastic saga and an examination of the corrosive power of money."

Season 1 starts with the 1973 kidnapping of John Paul Getty III (Harris Dickinson), an heir to the Getty oil fortune, by the Roman mafia. J. Paul Getty (Sutherland), his grandfather and possibly the richest man in the world, refuses to pay the ransom. His father (Michael Esper) won't answer the phone. And his mother Gail (Hilary Swank) is broke. Brendan Fraser also stars, and Slumdog Millionaire's Danny Boyle directs.

Finally, the network set a premiere date for the sixth and final season of The Americans. The Cold War espionage/family drama starts its farewell tour Wednesday, March 28 at 10/9c. Phillip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) are almost completely worn out from their double lives and ready to go back to the Soviet Union, but a development in one of their cases forces them to stick around as political and personal forces make their situation increasingly untenable.

Also on Friday, FX announced a series order for Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC, which will be coming later this year.
