WASHINGTON, Jan 4 (KUNA) -- The US Treasury Department on Thursday announced sanctions against five Iranian-based entities related to Iran's ballistic missile program.
In a statement, the Treasury said it sanctioned Shahid Kharrazi Industries, Shahid Sanikhani Industries, Shahid Moghaddam Industries, Shahid Eslami Research Center, and Shahid Shustari Industries, which it says are subordinate to a key element of Iran's ballistic missile program, Iran's Shahid Bakeri Industrial Group (SBIG).
As part of the sanctions, all property of those designated in the US are blocked, and US citizens are prohibited from engaging in transactions with them. (end) hy.sd
