
The first look of Akshay Kumar’s Kesari was unveiled today. The superstar has begun the shoot of the film on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Fans have gone gaga over Khiladi Kumar’s avatar as Havildar Ishar Singh who fought a valiant battle to defend the North-West Frontier Province. The film which is co-produced by Dharma Productions will release next year. Akshay Kumar has done films with a patriotic flavour like Rustom, Airlift and Baby but he says this is his most ambitious film ever. The film is going to be an epic one on all counts. It is not only Akshay but also Randeep Hooda who is playing the role of Havildar Ishar Singh from Battle of Saragarhi in Rajkumar Santoshi’s film of the same name. The actor who is known to get into the skin of any role worked a lot for the film. However, the film’s future was kind of uncertain post its launch. In March 2017, the actor said the film was not shelved. Even Santoshi confirmed that the shoot would start from November. Director Rajkumar Santoshi told a publication in November 2017, “Yes, we leave for Punjab next week where we will shoot for 40 days.” (Also Read: Kesari first look out! The film will be shot in Kazakhstan in March 2018 for its second schedule. The director said, “The Kazakhstan shoot will be in the first week of March and we are putting up a set there. We were looking for a location like Afghanistan where the battle took place and found that in Kazakhstan. The weather conditions are harsh till February which is why we have pushed the shoot to March. It’s a crucial sequence and will be shot over 45 days.”
