At the end of every year, there must be an inventory done on almost every business. Why you may ask, well to be accountable to the government for taxes and to have a running account of what the business will need to build for orders and inventory for the new year.
Have you ever done an inventory of your life?
Think if you had to do an inventory of your own stuff at home. In the house, garage, storage buildings and totes. It is good to know exactly what you have in your possession. I have only watched the show "Hoarders" a few times and was shocked to see how much stuff people have accumulated in their life. Well, there is a new craze today called Tiny House living. Oh, I am sure that many of you have watched HGTV and seen episodes of people who lived in a huge house some 2500 square foot and now they go down to 250 square feet on a trailer or foundation. People in the Tiny House craze must choose items right down to the bare essentials and get rid of stuff they never use.
You see, no matter how much stuff you have in this life, NONE of it you own or possess will be going with you into eternity. No, that may scare some of you but let’s let the Bible speak: These words are recorded by Job: Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. Job 1:21.
Well you came into this life with NOTHING, and when your name is called God almighty you will leave this world behind. How do we accumulate all this stuff? What will be waiting for you there in Heaven, is your rewards of what you have paid forward on earth.
Let’s let the Bible speak: Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal, for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The Gospel of St. Matthew 6 19-21. People can break into to a garage or house and steal things, priceless heirlooms and you may never get them back.
So why are we acting like we are staying here FOREVER! We will all be called one day, whether it is our day to enter eternity or when the Rapture of the church takes place recorded in 1st Thessalonians 4:13-17. So, this Spring that comes on March 20, 2018, make sure you start getting ready for the journey to Heaven.
Think about the opportunities to help others and give things away. There are many things people could use that you may have and do not use. PASS IT ON! Let’s let the Bible speak: But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2nd Corinthians 9:6-7.
Are you saved? Have you taken these simple steps to salvation?
HEAR, we must hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17, KJV).
BELIEVE, one must believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16). Jesus said: except ye believe that I am he, ye shall die in your sins (John 8:24).
REPENT, Third, one must repent of his sins to be saved God now commandeth all men everywhere to repent, because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained. Acts 17:30 (KJV).
CONFESS, one must confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16). If not, why not do so today?
