The first batch of 25 girls from various slums from the Bhubaneswar Town Centre District (BTCD) area on Thursday successfully completed a10-day self-defence training module at the city-based Utkal Karate School.
The training was imparted as part of the Socially Smart Bhubaneswar initiative of the Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) and the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
