Krishna Paksha is dedicated to Chaturthi Lord Ganesha. Sakat Chauth festival is celebrated in the month of Maagh in North Indian states. Women fasts whole day for good of their sons on this festival. There is a Sakat village in Rajasthan which has an idol of Goddess Sakat. Devi Sakat is famous as the fourth mother. On this day, worship of Lord Ganesha increases happiness and prosperity. Sakat Chauth is also known as Sankat Chauth, Til-Kuta Chauth, Wakada-Tundi Chaturth.

Auspicious time for Sakat Chauth:

The perfect time for moon rise is 8.20 pm in the night. All the women breaks their fast by offering water to moon and by eating Til Ladoo. First of all, the statue of Lord Ganesha is offered Panchamrit, fruit, red flower, Akshat, Roli, Mauli, Ladoo etc. Women must also chanting 108 Ganesh Mantra – Om Ganeshaayh Namah.  It will help to solve every problem that comes upon you.

How to get prosperity at home?

Method of worshiping at Sakat Chauth

Wake up early in the morning and take a bath. After this, keep your face on north or east direction while worshiping Lord Ganesha. Do not see Lord Ganesha’s back. Offer Til Ladoo or any other Ladoo to Lord Ganesha. Also offer flower, roli, Panchamrit to Ganesha and sing Lord Ganapati’s arti to get prosperity at home. Along with this, the story of the Sakat Chaturthi must be read.
