Thaanaa Serndha Koottam producer K.E. Gnanavel Raja, who has worked with Suriya on a large number of projects, has recalled how Kamal Haasan‘s box office dud Uttama Villain directed by Ramesh Aravind changed his career upside down. As he recalled, “May 1, 2015. Uttama Villain release time. I took a boulder on my head. I wanted to help certain people, and eventually, I was coerced to put a signature, which changed my career upside down. The kind of struggles I underwent in the last two years is indescribable. I’ve managed to survive somehow. Today, I’ve received complete freedom from the two-year-long suffering I was experiehaanaa Serndha Koottam producer K. E. Gnanavelncing. Today marks the first day of my career. I have hurt my well-wishers and family members while trying to help others in the industry. I sincerely apologize to everyone for the kind of agony I made them go through in the last two years. I promise today that I will not make any decision that will affect my well-wishers henceforth.”
Talking about his upcoming festival release Thaanaa Serndha Koottam directed by Vignesh Shivan, Gnanavel said, “Special 26 was based on a real incident. TSK is also based on the same incident, but the story is narrated from an entirely different perspective by Vignesh Shivan. The movie also stars Keerthy Suresh as the lead heroine. It is titled Gang in Telugu and will be released by UV Creations. The film is all set to hit screens worldwide on January 12th. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film.
