Battle of Friends kicks off derby season at Pasay City Cockpit

MANILA, Philippines — Derby season kicks off today with the Battle of Friends four-cock event slated at the Pasay City Cockpit.

Rep. Patrick Antonio, Tony Lasala, Tady Palma, 2017 LGBA Breeder of the Year Rey Tolentino, Gov. Toto Tan, Marvin Rillo, Joel Teves, Gerry Teves, Jon Cano, Charlie Gayoso and Baquiran Bros head the roster of participants fielding in their respective aces in the event backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.

Due to the big number of entries, the guaranteed prize is expected to reach to P400,000.

The Silver Taff group, a regular participant in Metro Manila and provincial cockfests, will host the event with Col. Val Lopez and Ryan Esteban of Rizal.

Meanwhile, the PCC will host the Jared and Friends four-cock derby on Jan. 12 with Jimmy Junsay, runner-up in the 2016 World Slasher Cup 1 with Dennis Reyes and Bobby Inigo, hosting the event.
