Filling in for while they enjoy the dregs of their Christmas break, Ben Shephard discussed the show's competition with .

But the veteran breakfast telly host, 43, fell victim to an unfortunate mix-up in a live TV blunder.

In a move that arguably made several viewers' morning, Ben managed to "impregnate" GMB viewers in an unfortunate choice of words.

Making two blunders, Ben said: "In January, Andi Peters will be cocking – knocking on the door of some lucky prize winners," before chuckling and having to repeat the sentence.

"You're thinking of clocking up miles," co-host Kate said.

Starting again, Ben said: "It's a January bonus! It could be your that he knocks up!"

The pair paused before gasped and Ben had to rectify his error quickly before spluttering into a fit of giggles.

While Kate and Ben may have thought the gaffe would have gone unnoticed, amused fans took to Twitter to comment on the blunder.

Another added: "Andi Peters is knocking people up, eh Ben?"

"Ben Shephard is cracking me up with his bloopers on GMB this morning!" giggled a third.

The Tipping Point host has established himself as an unlikely sex symbols amongst breakfast telly fanatics.

But while some loved his tastefully dishevelled look, other viewers were not impressed, telling him he looked "grubby."

Ben himself has laughed off his sex symbol status, telling Star magazine: "No, I don’t think of myself like that. That’s just a weird and silly part of my job."
