Ocala toddler's pool death ruled an accident

OCALA — A toddler's drowning death in Florida has been ruled an accident.

The Ocala Star-Banner reports that Det. Shannon Wiles with the Marion County Sheriff's Office concluded that David Viscuso Jr.'s fall into a pool on Dec. 25 was an accident and closed the case.

Viscuso would have turned 2 on Jan. 5.

According to the report, the boy was at home with two babysitters and had gone outside to play with other children when he fell into the in-ground pool. The boy's father told Wiles his son could not swim, but had previously been in the pool with flotation devices.
