Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has authorized a change in orbital position of the SES-14 satellite, which will be launched this month. The company had purchased the orbital position 48 degrees West, but in the meantime found that two nearby Intelsat satellites - IS-14 at 45 degrees West and the IS-293 at 50 degrees West - may cause interference. It requested a change of orbital position to 47.5 degrees West, for which it received approval from Anatel. The SES-14 satellite will operate in the C-band, Ku-band and Ka-band.
