OnePlus has been teasing the launch of a mystery product hidden in a box and it was expected to be the Sandstone variant of the recent flagship smartphone. Following the same, the company came up with teasers confirming the arrival of the Sandstone White variant of OnePlus 5T.
The OnePlus 5T Sandstone White Limited Edition variant is now official. The company took to Twitter to launch the new variant of the flagship smartphone. The tweet includes a 40-second video showing the phone and reveals its pricing and availability details as well. Well, the OnePlus 5T Sandstone White variant is priced at $559 same as the Midnight Black variant.
According to the company, the OnePlus 5T Sandstone White limited edition model comes with the iconic OnePlus Sandstone finish with a sleek all-aluminum shell. It is created after 100 prototypes and four layers have been used to create a body that is natural and minimalistic in terms of appearance and comfortable to hold with a good grip.
OnePlus 5T Sandstone White variant has a striking resemblance to the Star Wars edition model but it lacks the Star Wars branding on the back and Star Wars wallpapers. There is a white colored back with the Sandstone finish, black power and volume keys and Mineral Red Alert Slider. We already saw the Alert Slider with a red accent on the OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition model.
As it goes with the other variants except for the Midnight Black model such as the Lava Red variant and OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition, the Sandstone White variant also comes only in the high-end model with 8GB RAM and 128GB default storage capacity. As mentioned above, the device will be priced at $559 that is the same price of the regular OnePlus 5T. The sale will debut on January 9 in select markets.
For now, OnePlus has not revealed an official word regarding when the OnePlus 5T Sandstone variant will be launched in India. We can expect it to come soon and carry the same price point of Rs. 37,999 as the Midnight Black variant and be exclusive to Amazon India.
Notably, the Sandstone White variant of the OnePlus 5T is a limited edition model and will be available in very limited quantities as it involves a lot of time and labor intensive developments, claims the company.
