New Delhi: India have handed limited-overs specialist pacer Jasprit Bumrah a Test debut in the opening Test of the three-match Test series against South Africa at Newlands in Cape Town. Bumrah had received the maiden call-up for the longer format of the game and has straightaway walked into the playing XI. Meanwhile, the visitors have dropped Ajinkya Rahane and included Rohit Sharma in his place.
Ravindra Jadeja who is down with viral infection misses out and thus Ravichandran Ashwin is the lone Indian spinner for this Test. The visitors have also included all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
