The Haryana Government has decided to organise free eye check-up  camps on every Saturday in all civil hospitals in the districts.

The camps would be organized so that a healthy environment for eye surgery could be provided to people. Such camps will be organized up to March 2018, said Health Minister Anil Vij.

He said that directions in this regard have been issued to all the civil surgeons. Such camps would also be organized in all those hospitals where eye specialists were deployed.

Vij said that all the patients would get free treatment, medicines and spectacles in these camps.

Earlier several cases of losing vision or other problems were reported in such camps organised by private doctors and institutions. However, these camps are now being organized by the Department to avoid such incidents, he added.
