Transfer news: PSG decided who they want between Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have named Antonio Conte as their No 1 choice to replace Unai Emery, alongside Andre Villas-Boas and Jose Mourinho, according to reports.
Emery is under increasing pressure to deliver in the Champions League at PSG this season after the club shelled out a world-record fee to sign Neymar in the summer as well as recruiting Kylian Mbappe.
But they face a tough challenge in the round-of-16 when they take on defending champions Real Madrid next month.
The former Sevilla boss’ contract will run out this summer and while they remain on target to regain the Ligue 1 trophy, it is Europe where the owners want their team to succeed.
And the club are already planning for Emery’s replacement should he not deliver in Europe’s elite competition.

That’s according to ESPN, who claim Mourinho is not high up on their list of targets.
Instead they are considering moves for both Conte and former Chelsea and Tottenham boss Villas-Boas.
It is said that PSG sporting director Antero Henrique and chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi have started to put plans in place for Emery’s successor should he fail to progress to the quarter-finals.

The reason for favouring Villas-Boas and Conte over Mourinho is reportedly due to PSG’s views that the latter duo are better at man-management.
Mourinho hinted earlier this season he could be tempted by a move to PSG as he admitted he will not retire at Old Trafford.
He said back in October: “The only thing I can say is that I’m still a coach with worries, with ambitions and with the desire to do new things. And I don’t believe ... no, I’m sure that I won’t end my career here.”
