Budget on February 1, first part of budget session from January 29 to Feb 9

The government had advanced the Budget date to February 1 in September 2016.
The Union Budget would be presented on February 1 this year as well, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar today informed.

He also said that first part of the budget session would take place from January 29 to February 9.

"First part of budget session to be held from 29 January to 9 February, budget to be presented on 1 February. The second part to be held from 5 March to 6 April," said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar.

President Ramnath Kovind will address the joint sitting of the two Houses on January 29 and the Economic Survey will be tabled on the same day.

The government had advanced the Budget date to February 1 in September 2016.

Earlier, the Union Budget used to be presented on the last working day of February.

The Winter session of Parliament has ended today.
