Ross Barkley having Chelsea medical TODAY as £15m Everton switch nears
ROSS BARKLEY is reportedly due to have a medical at Chelsea today ahead of his proposed move from Everton.
The Times journalist Paul Joyce tweeted: “Ross Barkley to have medical today at Chelsea. Fee in region of £15m.”
Barkley hasn't played a minute of football this term after suffering a hamstring injury in pre-season.
Barkley came close to joining Chelsea on the final day of the summer transfer window but pulled out of a move at the last minute to concentrate on fully recovering from his injury.
Everton had hoped the 24-year-old would extend his stay at Goodison Park but with his contract expiring at the end of the season they are ready to cash in.

Chelsea are set to pay just £15m for the 22-cap England international.
Tottenham had also been linked with a move for the midfielder but baulked at Barkley's wage demands, opening the door to Chelsea.
Everton boss Sam Allardyce confirmed on Thursday the club had practically given up trying to convince Barkley to stay.

"The club was resigned to losing Ross before I got here. I can't see that changing,” he said.
Barkley is understood to be fit following his lengthy spell on the sidelines but should he pass his medical today he is unlikely to be included in the match day squad for Chelsea’s trip to Norwich in the third round of the FA Cup tomorrow evening.
Instead, he could be targeting his debut against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup next Wednesday.
