Nancy Holland emailed to let us know that Mental Health America is proud to welcome storyteller, writer, pastor, counselor and artist Kirk Neely as its next speaker.
Neely will speak about “Getting Along with Difficult People” at The William Arthur Center at 410 E. Kennedy St., next to the Spartanburg County Foundation and behind First Presbyterian Church.
The one-hour event is free and open to everyone.
It begins at noon Jan. 11. An RSVP is not necessary.

The Converse Low Residency MFA in Creative Writing program will hold an Open House Information Session from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday in the Montgomery Student Center’s Barnet Room on the Converse campus.
The public is invited to attend. Advance registration is not necessary.
MFA faculty representing all writing genres will be available to meet attendees and discuss the program.
The MFA program holds on-campus residencies each January and June.
Applications for the Summer 2018 residency are due Feb. 15, and applications for the January 2019 residency are due Oct. 1.
