The Sixers have waived guard Jacob Pullen.

The 28-year-old was on a two-way contract, which he signed in October. Here's a good explainer on what exactly a two-way contract entails.

Pullen, a Kansas State alum, only saw action in two games with the Sixers this season, playing seven minutes total and scoring two points. Pullen initially signed with Philadelphia in September and once his contract was converted to a two-way in October, he spent most of the season with the Delaware 87ers, the Sixers' G League affiliate.

Is Ben Simmons becoming an adequate free throw shooter?

With Delaware, Pullen showed some flashes of scoring ability, averaging 15.7 points per game and scoring 35 points in a game on Dec. 12. Pullen left Kansas State in 2011 and spent the ensuing six years playing professionally overseas.

With Pullen's release, the Sixers now have 14 players under contract, plus one other two-way contract -- forward James Michael McAdoo, currently with the 87ers. Each team is allowed two two-way players, so the Sixers could conceivably sign another player to fill that slot.

The Sixers will face the Pistons on Friday night at 7 in Philadelphia.
