St. Francis Cabrini Church to open temporary warming shelter

St. Francis Cabrini Church, 2143 Homewood Drive in Lorain, will open its doors as a temporary warming shelter starting Jan. 4 for area residents in need.

Lorain Ward 6 Councilman Angel Arroyo Jr. announced the initiative on Twitter after being notified of the lack of spaces in area shelters.

Arroyo said the shelter will be available from 7:45 p.m. until 8 a.m., Jan. 5 and then re-opening in the evening at 7:45 p.m. on Jan. 5 until 8 a.m., Jan. 6.
