21: I suppose David Moyes will be fairly pleased with the start his side have made. The possession stats read 75% vs 25%, but the scoreline remains 0-0 with no real clear-cut opportunities.

18: It’s all a bit static from Spurs. Son is sticking to the left flank and West Ham are doubling up on Harry Kane in the middle. Everything needs to be a lot quicker from the hosts.

15: Disallowed goal! Christian Eriksen cuts inside from the right and lays it off to Harry Kane, who turns it home via a Winston Reid deflection. Good spot from the linesman, who correctly flags Kane for offside.

12: Spare a thought for Javier Hernandez. The diminutive striker is all by himself up front and has barely had a sniff of possession. Spurs still in control.

9: What’s Mike Dean going to do?! Son panics having stuck a late boot in on Zabaleta, but the referee keeps his cards in his pocket… for now! The resulting free-kick is flown over everyone.

6: You don’t see that everyday. A Harry Kane miss. It was a tough chance in fairness as he swivelled from an impossible angle before seeing his effort parried over by Adrian.

Seconds later defender Sanchez snatches at a loose ball but it’s blocked before it could do any damage.

3: Not what you would call a lung-busting start to proceedings. Both sides are settling into their rhythms with Spurs seeing the majority of the ball. Christian Eriksen looks to play long towards Harry Kane but it rolls straight out of play.

David Moyes has confirmed that Andy Carroll, on the bench, has an injury.

He said: "Andy has had an injury this week. Spurs are one of the top teams. But we'll hopefully have a go. We have to be compact and make us difficult to play against. We've done well in some of the big games."

BARKLEY RACE OVER?

19:35: We’ve been LIVE (yes I’m contractually obliged to capitalise that word) and I haven’t mentioned the transfer window!

I’ll be getting sacked in the morning.

One transfer story of interest is the Ross Barkley saga.

Chelsea and Spurs were thought to be neck-and-neck in the battle to secure his services, but Coral has seen a huge gamble this morning on Barkley joining Chelsea where his odds have been slashed into 1-5 (from 3-1).

What d’ya reckon Spurs fans, is it a mistake to let Chelsea win the fight?

19:30: Mauricio Pochettino has a very clear message for his players tonight; Don’t let history repeat itself!

Spurs were cruising in October’s Carabao Cup clash before a quickfire double from Andre Ayew and an Angelo Ogbonna header completed a stunning turnaround.

But Pochettino has told his charges not to make the same mistakes if they want to close the gap to a single point on the Premier League top four tonight.

“This game is not about revenge,” said the Spurs manager. “But it was a game that was so important for us.

“It was 2-0 at half-time and we all – because I need to put myself in this too – believed the game was over, but it was 3-2 in the end. It was a massive mistake.”

19:25: These statistics are becoming pretty normal for Harry Kane. He’s lethal!

The Tottenham talisman has hit seven goals in his last six Premier League appearances against West Ham, including three braces in that time.

Well, the answer is that he’s injured and hasn’t made the match day squad, which is a considerable blow for David Moyes’ side.

Three changes for the Hammers. Declan Rice, Mark Noble and Javier Hernandez come in. Andy Carroll, Arnautovic and Aaron Cresswell drop out.

Anyway, Mauricio Pochettino has made three changes from the side who beat Swansea in awful conditions on Tuesday.

Harry Kane returns to the starting XI ahead of Fernando Llorente. The two other changes see Erik Lamela and Kieran Trippier replaced by Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko.

I’ll level with you folks. I’m not entirely prepared for tonight’s clash between Tottenham and West Ham.

And here’s the embarrassing reason.

I just dropped a cup of tea on my girlfriend’s brand new MacBook Air…

I know. 

I rushed the laptop to the airing cupboard, threw a bag of rice over it and almost torched it with a hairdryer.

But I think I’ve got away with it.

Anyway, enough about my domestic nightmare - let’s concentrate on the football!
