OnePlus has lately been making the headlines with the rumors of a Sandstone White edition of its latest flagship OnePlus 5T. The company first started to tease the new version by uploading a video on YouTube.
OnePlus also released a poster via its official Weibo account announcing a launch on January 5, which is tomorrow. While the poster doesn't reveal the name of the product that is to be launched, it clearly points at the soon arrival of the Sandstone White variant of the OnePlus 5T. Now, the Sandstone White OnePlus 5T has been found listed on a Chinese retail site JD.com.
According to the retailer listing, the Sandstone White colored variant will only come with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As far as the pricing is concerned, the new variant will cost 3,499 Yuan in China, which translates to around Rs. 35,000.
Apart from this, OnePlus has also posted a short video on Twitter confirming the existence of the OnePlus 5T Sandstone White edition.
We assume that, OnePlus will launch the new Sandstone White OnePlus 5T in China before making it available to other markets.
Talking about the specifications, OnePlus 5T flaunts a 6-inch AMOLED Full HD display that has a screen resolution of 2,160×1,080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is also covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.45GHz. There are two memory variants of the regular OnePlus 5T, one comes with 6GB RAM+ 64GB storage and the other carries 8GB RAM +128GB storage.
On the software front, the handset runs on OnePlus's custom Oxygen OS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. For keeping the lights on OnePlus 5T packs a 3,300mAh battery with dash charging support.
In terms of optics, the OnePlus 5T is equipped with a 16MP+20MP dual rear camera setup. As for the front camera, smartphone sports a 16MP camera that has an aperture size of f/2.0.
OnePlus 5T offers connectivity features like 4G LTE (supports all the major bands on FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE and has CAT 12 support), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz, 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, and GPS GLONASS, and BeiDou. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
