The winter storm that has pounded the East Coast of the country has been a winter wonderland for some but a nightmare for others. The year’s first snow storm has hit the East Coast with heavy snow fall and high winds.
According to the National Weather Service people in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the country can expect heavy snowfall and blizzard like conditions Thursday. The snowfall should continue overnight.
The storm has since strengthened into a “bomb cyclone.” According to a report from the Washington Post this happens when a storm’s pressure falls as it strengthens.
On Wednesday, states as south as South Carolina and Florida saw some snowfall.
