Suspect accused of stealing cell phone tower batteries

The Brownsville Police Department is looking for the identity of a suspect accused in stealing batteries from a cell phone towers.

Brownsville Police Detective J.J. Treviño said the most recent theft took place at 1:14 a.m. today in the Alton Gloor area.

Police received information there has been several thefts of batteries from cell towers but can’t confirm if the same suspect committed the earlier thefts.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Brownsville Crime Stoppers at (956) 546-8477.
