If England had hoped they can carry on their form from Day 1 and take control on Day 2, it did not happen. While Dawid Malan and Moeen Ali tried to settle down their side from the debacle that happened in the final two overs of the previous day, the two could not hold on to Australia seamers who were breathing fire from the start on Day 2. While Malan got out on Starc’s delivery at 62, Ali was sent packing at a score of 30 runs and he became a victim to Pat Cummins. Cummins struck again soon as he got the wicket of Tom Curan who scored a handy 39 runs, but could not give much cofort to his side.
