In a letter to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, Ajay Singh has demanded to conduct high level enquiry and register a case of murder against those responsible for deaths of several cows at first cow sanctuary at Salriya village in Agar-Malwa district.

The letter was sent through a special messenger to Ujjain where RSS Chief is attending a camp.

Ajay Singh has expressed displeasure over the negligence and insensitivity in performing the last rites of dead cows and in deaths of cows.

The Government which equates cow as mother left the dead cows in open for dogs and other animals to feed on.

In the letter Ajay Singh mentioned that there are two reasons one is the more sensitiveness of RSS towards cows and assume it is a national animal.

Second reason is statement of RSS Chief Bhagwat that Cow rearing is identity of Indian culture and gives values at the stone laying foundation ceremony of cow shelter on December 24, 2012 and he would feel sad after hearing that within four months of the start of the cow shelter several cows have died.

Chouhan claimed that the cow sanctuary would be made ‘Cow Pilgrimage’ but the same place has turned into their death place.

The deaths are due to negligence as the staff assigned never works and the figure which was claimed to be first at 7000 and then revised to 4000 was actually found to be 2500 only.

The issue should be dealt with strictness as one side cow protectors have killed people on the basis of suspect of cow transport and killing but in this case it was that the cow protectors have done nothing and strict action should be taken.
