The top three award shows that produced the most dramatic fashion statements.

Every year, the country hosts awards in different sectors of the entertainment industry where our A-list celebs come out and play. Last year was an interesting one as we were introduced to a taste of things we're not used to. From the South African Music Awards to the Feather Awards, these are the moments we will never forget.

South African Music Awards

The 23rd South African Music Awards took place at Sun City on May 27 and were the talk of the country. From Somizi grabbing headlines after making remarks about musician Zahara,to Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha getting bitter after not scooping a single award, to Skolopad rolling on the red carpet.
We know most of our local celebrities never miss a moment to shine on the red carpet while others seem to not get the memo.

Skolopad is seemingly always on the bad side of fashion. On that event, she rocked up wearing a peach dress/jumpsuit with one leg out. Also in a peach dress was Kelly Khumalo - who looked like a princess.
Metro FM Awards

Hosted by Pearl Modiadie and Amon Mokoena at the Durban ICC on February 25, the Metro FM Awards were also filled with drama. Somizi and Khanyi Mbau took to the stage to flex their LV handbags.

Let's also not forget how clean was "Abuti Fill Up", Cassper Nyovest in a black and white shawl lapel tuxedo. We look forward to more of that this year.

Feather Awards

These were probably the awards with the most outrageous fashion. But of course, there were those people who dressed for the event like Boity, Refilwe Modiselle and Rami Chuene just to name a few.

And then there were those who went out of their way to wear the worst outfits like Zodwa Wabantu. Known for her nudity, Zodwa even took it to flash out her punani in front of cameras.
And of course, Skolopad couldn't be missed on the list of the worse dressed as she rocked a whole sausage outfit and topped it with charcoal bag as a handbag.

Multi-award winning actress, Vatiswa Ndara also wore something not understandable. We're still trying to figure out if her outfit was inspired by Rihanna or she simply put on a curtain and was ready for the show.
