Members of the Ross Middle School FCCLA developed a Cursive Breakfast Club for fifth-grade students who wanted to improve their cursive writing skills.
With cursive writing no longer required by the state curriculum, members of the FCCLA worked to fill a community need to tutor students in cursive writing.

Members researched the need to be able to read and write in cursive and practiced cursive writing in a fun and relaxed setting. The eighth-grade FCCLA members meet with students for breakfast before school and do creative cursive projects to work on their skills.
FCCLA members are doing this as part of a Career Development Event called Focus on Children. In this event, participants use Family and Consumer Sciences skills to plan and conduct a child development project that has a positive impact on children and the community.
