Vodafone Ukraine, Lifecell to launch Mobile ID this year

Ukrainian mobile operators Lifecell and Vodafone Ukraine plan to launch the Mobile ID service this year, reports BizLigaNet. Vodafone Ukraine has announced that it is technologically ready to launch the service, but that certified Mobile ID systems are currently absent in Ukraine. The certification procedure would take several months, so the operator expects to launch the service mid-year.  

Lifecell plans to launch the service in the first quarter. 

Mobile operator Kyivstar has already started testing the service, with services seen launching in the second quarter.
