A Denver man who allegedly led police on a six-mile vehicle chase, which included two collisions, was arrested Thursday after he fled on foot, Brighton police said.

The suspect, Emmanuel Gonzales, 27, was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, domestic violence and vehicular eluding, police said in a news release.

The incident unfolded about 11:20 a.m., when officers were sent to a Walmart, 60 W. Bromley Lane, on a report of domestic violence. When officers arrived, the suspect and another person were seen leaving the parking lot in a silver Saturn SUV. Police, with emergency lights flashing and sirens blaring, tried to pull over the Saturn, but the driver kept going. Two police vehicles were damaged when the SUV collided with them during the 13-minute pursuit. The SUV came to a stop near East 106th Way and Revere Street, and the driver fled on foot. He was caught about 10 minutes later.

No injuries were reported.
