Magistrates’ Court was evacuated after a fire alarm this morning.
Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the Dame Lois Browne-Evans building for the incident shortly before 11am.
Court proceedings were halted for about 15 minutes as court staff and attendees gathered in the Court Street area while firefighters investigated the cause of the alarm.
A fire service representative later said that the court building’s alarm system is faulty.
