Vodafone Hungary's data traffic up 69% during winter holiday

Vodafone Hungary said more customers used mobile internet to greet their loved ones during this winter holiday season. More specifically, data traffic grew by 69 percent over the previous year and by 140 percent from the 2015/16 period. Meanwhile, the number of mobile calls launched on Vodafone's network decreased 4 percent to more than 16.7 million calls. Calls' duration also decreased by almost 3 percent. More than 12.4 million SMS were sent and the number of outgoing MMS grew by over 3.5 percent year-on-year to more than 200,000.
