Microsoft issues emergency Windows update for Intel chip bug

After chip-maker confirmed a potential security flaw in its chips, on Thursday issued emergency updates to supported versions of Windows.

The security bug, if used for malicious purposes, has the potential to improperly gather sensitive data from devices.
