There’s no denying that unlike sprouts, which divide the nation, pigs in blankets are the best part of Christmas dinner and a Newcastle restaurant has put a new spin on as we enter the New Year.
Rub Smokehouse on the Tyne has got a lot of people talking since opening in The Gate in 2016 thanks to its viral dishes like the Yorkshire pudding pizz a, giant nugget Nugzilla and kitchen sink ice cream sundae and events like unlimited retro crisps, chicken nuggets, BBQ food and Yorkshire pudding wraps.
Well it shows no signs of slowing down the imaginative culinary creations for 2018 and first out of the blocks is the Burrito in a Blanket.
Revealing all on Facebook, Rub wrote ‘Christmas might be over, but that won’t stop us wrapping things in blankets!'
The Burrito in a Blanket contains Mixed Bean Chilli, Pulled Chicken, Pulled Pork wrapped up in a burrito wrapped in bacon and smoked for 2 hours.
And because of its preparation time the Burrito in a Blanket is only available when pre-ordered. You can’t just turn up to Rub and order it there and then.
