A FLOOD warning has been issued for properties on York's riverside after recent heavy rainfall upstream.

The Environment Agency says flooding of riverside properties near the River Ouse is expected and immediate action is required.

It said the current level of the river was 2.78 metres above normal summer levels, and levels were expected to peak later today at approximately 3 metres.
