Silver Streaks
This 4-to-6-foot-tall ginger (Zingiber collinsii) from Southeast Asia features blue-green foliage ornamented with silver chevrons. In addition, numerous red basal cones appear in spring and summer. Install on organically enriched, mulched, sheltered sites in dappled light, and cover during freezes. Occasionally available online.
