Emmerdale spoilers: Moira Barton launches vicious attack as she breaks down

MOIRA Barton (Natalie J Robb) finally snapped in last night's Emmerdale.

Moira Barton has probably had the most miserable two years out of the .

After losing daughter Hollie to a heroin overdose, she split with husband Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and was set on a self-destructive path of boozing.

She then gave birth to unplanned baby Isaac outside of a burning barn and confronted soap psycho after she kidnapped him, leading to Moira shoving her sworn rival to her death.

To make matters worse, son Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) was arrested and charged for Emma's murder, with Adam making a false confession under Cain's guidance to protect him mum.

    Cue post-natal depression and an interfering , and it's little wonder Moira is all set to snap.

    Her breakdown comes after Adam absconds from the law with Cain's help, becoming a fugitive and escaping to Europe.

    Still unable to put her mind at rest, Moira unearthed the hoodie she was wearing the night she killed Emma and goes to hand it to police.

    But when Cain discovered her plan, he doused the hoodie in petrol and set it on fire, burning the final shred of evidence that proved Moira was the guilty party.

    Furious, Moira chastised her estranged husband for taking a decision that wasn't his to make out of her hands, and asked why he kept interfering.

    In news that won't be music to girlfriend Harriet's ears, Cain confessed that he was still in love with her.

    "I'm just trying to look out for you," he said. "I'm not letting yourself put yourself behind bars.

    "I can't be without you. I love you."

      But whatever Cain was expecting after this heartfelt confession, it certainly wasn't for Moira to savagely attack him.

      Hurling a series pf punches and kicks at her ex-husband, she screamed that she hated him before bursting into tears.
