Government planning three bridges over Brahmaputra

The is planning to build three bridges over the in the northeast region with a total length of 38 km, was informed on Thursday.

While the draft Detailed Project Report has been prepared for the 14-km-long bridge between Dhubri in and Phulbari in Meghalaya, DPRs for two bridges in (12 km each) between Gohpur and Numaligarh, and Kaupati and Rowta are under preparation, for Road Transport and Highways told the Lok Sabha in a written reply.

"Consultancy services for the preparation of Detailed Project Reports for these bridges have been awarded," he said.
