(MENAFN) An action strategy meant to encourage Algerian-Russian scientific collaboration is being drawn up at Oran's Mohamed Boudiaf University of Sciences and Technology (USTO-MB), says the university's vice-rector, Bouziane Hammou.

"The promotion of academic exchanges between USTO-MB and Russian universities is at the heart of a meeting held here Wednesday and attended by the rector, Nassira Benharrats, and the Russian Ambassador to Algeria, Igor Belaev," said Hammou, from department of international relations and co-operation at USTO-MB.

This official said that the rector of USTO-MB demonstrated his backing to the proposal of the ambassador who emphasized his willingness to help USTO-MB establish new partnerships with universities of his country.
