Jeanie Edwards Carmody passed away January 3, 2018. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2:00 pm. Jeanie Edwards Carmody, 64, passed away on Wednes- day, January 3, 2018. She was born on July 22, 1953 in Baytown, Texas to Marvin David Edwards and Florene Elizabeth Marshall Edwards. Once she graduated from Ster- ling High School in 1971, she went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from Lee College and
a Bachelor’s Degree from La- mar University. Jeanie worked for many years as a Social Worker with the Communities In Schools program working with at risk youth. She was currently a Special Education Teacher for Goose Creek ISD where her heart was truly in her work. Jeanie loved her family and was giving and nurturing to everyone; her goal in life was to help others. She enjoyed traveling, spend- ing time with her beloved grandchildren and her many wonderful friends. Jeanie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Nan- cy Edwards; and her sister, Kathy Norris.
Jeanie is survived by her daughters, Kimberley Carmo- dy, Stacey Carmody-Wensing and husband Michael, and Dana Ellis; grandsons, Myles Hebert and Austin Wensing;
granddaughters, Madelyn Ellis and Zoie Hebert; sister, Ruth Woodall and husband Tex Woodall; brother-in-law, Gary Norris; nieces, Jessica Woodall Wooten, and Jennifer Norris Clary; nephews, Justin Woodall, and Dane Norris; and a host of extended family and friends.
