Brazil's Florianopolis introduces free Wi-Fi access

The Brazilian city of Florianopolis has launched a free Wi-Fi internet service, currently consisting of three access points, reports Diario Catarinense. The project is the result of a partnership between SEBCOCand the Sinergy company. Trials should last until March after which a decision will be reached whether to extend the service.

Internet is provided by local telecom operator Ole Telecom.
