The Chicago Fire midseason finale ended on a pretty serious cliffhanger, when Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Brett (Kara Kilmer) realized the stabbing victim they'd been called to save was none other than her father Ramon (Daniel Zacapa). It's no secret Ramon isn't exactly winning any father of the year awards, but the first time the guy tries to do the good Samaritan thing, he gets stabbed in the stomach? That hardly seems fair!
TV Guide has the exclusive sneak peek at the fallout of that cliffhanger in Chicago Fire's winter premiere, in which Gabby frantically tries to keep her head as she rushes her father to the hospital.
Thanks to this impromptu hospital visit, we can also expect to see Chicago P.D's Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) drop by to pay his ailing father a visit. He'll be sticking around for a few episodes, which is sure to provide a tense reunion. After all, the last time they shared the screen, Antonio was taking a swing at his dad after he announced that he was leaving Gabby and Antonio's mother at their 40th anniversary party.
Any chance a good, old-fashioned stabbing will help these two let bygones be bygones?
Chicago Fire airs Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC.
