Mumbai: Yusuf Khan, a resident of Thane, who had met with an accident and was admitted at St George hospital for several days where he had underwent a leg surgery last week. Doctors inserted a rod in his leg and discharged him on Wednesday. Due to the rod in his leg, walking was a pain.

But tragically, he could not reach his home in Thane as he was left sitting alone in a train that was stuck between Mulund and Nahur with no water and eat for over an hour.

Neighbourly act

Ankita Acher, a resident of Vikhroli went into a labour when her neighbour Kritesh Singh pulled out his car to take her to a hospital. While on their way, apparently, some protesters attacked the vehicle with Ankita in it.

Later, she was rescued by the women in the residence and shifted to Hiranandani Hospital. But Singh and his brother who was accompanying them were apparently beaten up by the supporters. “I just tried to help the pregnant woman as no other vehicle was available. Despite repeated pleas, the protesters didn’t listen. After she was rescued to the hospital, the protesters beat us up. My brother got fifteen stitches on his head,” said Singh.
