Bertha Mae Prewitt, 95, of Medford, Oregon passed away at her home, December 29, 2017. She was born August 12, 1922 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Charles B. and Malissa Ralls.

Bertha married James Lawton Prewitt October 26, 1937 in Idabel, Okla., and moved to the Griffin Creek Road area of Medford in 1960. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and hunting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, three daughters, multiple grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawton Prewitt, three sisters, two brothers, a half-brother, and a half-sister.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at Hillcrest Mortuary. Rev. Tom Sramek, Jr., of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
