The European Investment Bank has given the green light to the second loan tranche, amounting to EUR 78.4 million, towards the Nord-Pas-de-Calais public-initiative network project, which aims to bring FTTH connectivity to over half a million under-served premises in the French department. This follows the loan of EUR 105 million in November 2016, bringing EIB's overall financing of the project to EUR 183.4 million.

Responsible for the work, Axione delivered the first 11,000 connected premises in November 2017, a year after the start of the deployment. The project is scheduled for completion by 2021.
